On the 17th and 18th of November the German Days 2012 were celebrated at the National Museum of Viatnamese History in Hanoi attracting hundreds of interested visitors over the weekend. The WMP booth turned out to be a great attraction with its life-like miniature scale model showing and explaining main activities and objectives of WMP in an easy and accessible manner.

German Days_1Visitors were provided with information materials getting to know WMP and some of its staff members on a first-hand basis. On top of that, they were able to enjoy some delicious German food, as well as receive fun goodies, such as much sought- after WMP balloons and pens. The neighbouring GIZ booths provided further insight into the wide array of projects and programmes underway all across Vietnam, ranging from sustainable urban development to biodiversity.

German Days_2Further highlights of the German Days 2012 took place on the main stage, with live music, quizzes and presentations and in the Kids’s corner, where soccer players and creative heads could practice their skills. The German Days provided the ideal setting for WMP to get in touch with people, exchange views and explain how important sustainable wastewater and solid waste management are to improve both environmental as well as living conditions in Vietnam.
