Ms. Ulrike Lipkow successfully completed her term as Programme Advisor of the Southeast Asian Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN)

Ulrike FotoFarewell Meeting at WMP OfficeMs. Ulrike Lipkow was an integrated expert provided by GIZ to SEAWUN for the period of four years. In June, she successfully completed her term as Programme Advisor of this regional organization and return to Germany to continue working for the Ministry of Environment. An interesting fact is that this is the third time she had been working in the same Programme with Mr. Hanns Bernd Kuchta, GIZ Programme Manager, both in the Philippines and Vietnam spreading over twenty years.

During her term, Ms. Ulrike Lipkow strongly supported the Governing Board of SEAWUN in developing strategy and annual business plans. She also advised SEAWUN Secretariat in Hanoi in implementation of programmes aimed at capacity building and networking among water and wastewater utilities in Southeast Asia.

At the farewell meeting on 13 June, 2013 at SEAWUN Office, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien – SEAWUN Executive Director said “We appreciate Ms. Lipkow’s contribution and dedication to Ulrike  -Farewell meeting.jpg 2Farewell at SEAWUN OfficeSEAWUN during her term, she has provided valuable support to the Board and the Secretariat and her work contributed to capacity building for water and wastewater companies in Vietnam and Southeast Asia”.

Furthermore, Ms. Ulrike Lipkow has always been ready to provide inputs for activities and missions of WMP on voluntary basis which were greatly appreciated by Mr. Kuchta and his team.
